The PANIONS project (Physics and Applications of Negative Ions) officially kicked off on 1 January 2026. Funded under the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Networks (HORIZON-MSCA-2024-DN-01) call, PANIONS will run for 48 months, until 31 December 2029. Coordinated by the University of Gothenburg, the project brings together an international consortium of leading academic institutions and associated partners to advance fundamental and applied research on negative ions, while training the next generation of early-stage researchers through an interdisciplinary and intersectoral doctoral programme.
