The laser spectroscopy research group at University of Gothenburg is active in four different research areas, where the common denominator is lasers. The main research direction is laser spectroscopy of negative ions where experiments are performed at the in-house laser laboratory „Gothenburg Photon Factory (GFP) “ using the ion beam facility GUNILLA (Gothenburg University Negative Ion Laser Laboratory (GUNILLA), at the storage ring DESIREE at Stockholm University and at CERN in Switzerland. Other research project are in the fields of optical levitation, Physics Education Research (PER) and applied femtosecond spectroscopy.
