Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG)
Holger Kreckel is a group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Nuclear Physics (MPIK) in Heidelberg, Ger-many. His research in the domain of molecular physics has an emphasis on the formation and destruction of molecules in interstellar space. The main instrumentation effort of the group is the Cryogenic Storage Ring (CSR). This unique facility allows for the study of atomic and molecular ions of almost arbitrary mass under true interstellar conditions.
